Harleston Tennis Club is a LTA affiliated club with approximately 70 members and is situated on the recreation ground adjacent to the Harleston Leisure Centre.

There are two all-weather courts available throughout the year and three grass courts in use from May to September. There are club nights on Wednesdays and Fridays during the tennis season with various weekend social events and friendly tournaments. Promising juniors are invited to participate in club nights

Coaching

The Harleston tennis club have teamed up with EA Tennis  to offer a junior coaching program.

EATennis will be starting junior coaching on Friday,
6th May 2011 4.30-6.30pm. 
Coaching for 8-10 year olds will be from 4.30-5.30pm
and for 11-14 year olds  from 5.30-6.30pm. This will be
run by Steve Mills at EATennis. There will be forms
available in the Leisure Centre or email Steve directly

We hope that those members with children who are
interested in tennis will support Steve.

The cost is £20.00 for the session running from 6th-27th
May and £35.00 for the session

running from 10th June-22nd July. If sufficient interest
is shown, coaching will continue into the summer holidays
and there will once again be junior tennis camps during
the holidays.

New Members

We are keen to welcome new members of all ages and experience. Harleston Tennis Club offers:

  • Free use of the tennis courts – no court booking fees. Once you have paid your annual subscription there is nothing more to pay.
  • Club evenings. During the tennis season every Wednesday and every Friday – just turn up and play! Starting Wednesday, 6th April 2011 from 6.00pm. Club nights will then continue every Friday and Wednesday (Fridays 6.30pm after 6th May)
  • League tennis . All members are invited to join the team selection evenings. We enter teams in the Lowestoft and South Norfolk leagues.
  • Club events. These include ‘fun' tennis evenings and the annual club singles and doubles tournaments.
  • Junior tennis. The club runs a junior team which play friendly matches against local clubs

To Play

There are several categories of membership - adult, family, junior and senior citizen, family membership being the most popular option. Courts are reserved through the Leisure Centre. The club enters teams in both the Lowestoft and South Norfolk Leagues.

Annual Fees for year 1 st April 2010 – 31 st March 2011

  • Juniors (up to 21) or in full time education: £25
  • Adults: £55
  • Family (Partner & Children up to age 21): £90
  • Concession for 65 and over: £30
  • Social Member £5

A discount applies if payment received by 01 May 2010 - please see membership form.
A further 10% discount is offered on rates for Harleston Gym Members.
